Evening Update

\I feel like a newscaster now. It is 10 o'clock and the News is on....Nebraska News! Yeah! We only get Denver News at our house and the weather is all about Colorado - Chadron doesn't even show up on the map. So I was pretty excited to see Nebraska Weather....but the Omaha channels show from Grand Island east and into Iowa....doesn't the Nebraska Panhandle count for anything?

Anywho....Dad is resting comfortably. They wake him up every hour or so and he wakes easily. His lone kidney is doing the job of two and things are going very well. He is not even using the pain pump very often. His mouth is still really dry and they are not letting him have any thing to drink yet except when he takes his pills so my main job is to swab his lips and mouth every so often to help with the dry mouth deal. He has a little trouble talking but only because his mouth is so dry. That should be better tomorrow.

I am getting ready to bunk down myself - they will come in and have quite a bit to do at midnight so we are going to catch a cat nap until then.
