What Really Matters

Well. Once again I am getting a post boost from the One Minute Writer but it is prompting me in a way that was not really the intent. Rebellion. Try it.

What really matters?

Well. We are having a mild Pink Eye outbreak at college.

Conjunctivitis really matters. Matters is a verb here.

I bet we have seen 10 cases in the last week.

Conjunctivitis matters (verb again) so much that you can wake up with your eyelids glued together with....matter. Or gunk. I often times hear the matter referred to as gunk.

So....we get them started on Tobrex eye drops and tell them to throw away their contacts and don't wear any contacts until the redness and "gunk" is all gone.

BTW....you would be surprised at how many people solely wear contacts and do not have a pair of glasses to fall back on.

Ok...back to the basics of Pink Eye prevention......WASH YOUR HANDS!

Truthfully. We would all be way more healthy if we washed our hands more often and didn't rub our eyes or nose or put our fingers in our mouths.

That is your good health tip of the day/week/month/year/decade/century.....etc.
